Before we start
Welcome to this Akashic Records & tarot mini challenge to get ready for 2026! This particular challenge is based on my ‘I made it through the year’ spread.
How does this challenge work?
For the next eight days, a new prompt will be posted every day that can be answered either through visiting your Akashic Records, by drawing cards from a tarot or oracle deck of your choosing, or by combining these two tools to connect to your intuition and soul. The prompts will be posted on Instagram, Substack, and here on my website. On Instagram, the guided meditation to take you into your Akashic Records will be part of the post. On Substack and my website, the guided meditation is posted separately and can be paused if you need more time to complete the prompt – the guided meditation gives you five minutes, which might not always be enough.
If you pick cards as your tool for this week, your prompt is the same question those journeying into their own Akashic Records will be asking of their Record Keepers.
For those who are interested in bringing the Akashic Records and their cardslinging together, there are different ways to combine the two. One option is to go into the Akashic Records and asking your Record Keepers which card from the deck you’ve picked for this challenge you need to see today. Another option is to draw your card – before or after going into your Records – and then ask the Record Keepers to tell you more about why you drew this card for the day’s prompt.
A third option would be to draw your card in answer to the day’s prompt and then visualise entering your Records through the imagery or landscape of the card to see if there’s anything else to learn from this card.
You don’t need any prior experience with the Akashic Records or the tarot or oracle decks to participate in this challenge. That said, if you’ve never entered your Akashic Records before, I recommend doing the first four days of my Discover Your Creative Purpose challenge so you’re at least familiar with your Records and Record Keepers before starting this challenge.
I’m also only a DM, comment, or e-mail away, so if anything shows up that you want to share or have questions about, I’m here for you.
What are the Akashic Records
The Akashic Records tend to be described as a metaphysical library where all information about our souls and their journeys are archived. Everything we did, are doing, and might potentially do in the future can be found within the Records.
That said, the Akashic Records are more than a ‘mere’ library. It’s also a place where deep and profound healing can take place, as you’ll discover this month.
With the right tools, anyone can tap into their own Akashic Records and access information about their own soul and its specific path in each of its lifetimes. The guided meditation I wrote for this challenge is one of those tools.
Different people receive information from the Akashic Records differently. You could see things, hear things, feel things, or suddenly know things. It can also be a little bit of everything: you see something, and then you just know something about it, and then you hear a certain phrase and get goosebumps along your left thigh. It’s all possible, so try to remain open and take whatever it is you’ll be seeing, hearing, feeling, or knowing seriously. It might not always add up immediately, but that doesn’t mean you didn’t receive it from the Records or that its significance won’t become clear later on.
When you work with the Records, it’s advisable to not indulge in any alcohol or other substances at least twenty-four hours before entering the Records because these muddy our connection to the Divine and affect our ability to be the clearest channel we can be.
Now you have a basic understanding of the Akashic Records, I invite you to check out the prompt for Day 1 below.

Day 1
What lessons have I learned over the past twelve months?
Welcome to Day 1! For the first four days, our focus will be on the year we’re about to leave behind, so today we’re asking about the lessons we’ve learned in 2025.
Today’s prompt is:
What lessons have I learned over the past twelve months?
If you’re slinging cards, ask this question of your deck as you shuffle your cards. If you’re using the Akashic Records as your tool, ask this question of your Record Keepers. If more than one lesson shows up, take your time writing them all down.
Day 2
What do I need to leave behind?
For Day 2, we’re focusing on what we need to leave behind. When you ask today’s question of your deck or your Record Keepers, try to keep an open mind as to what might show up. ‘Things to leave behind’ is quite a broad category and can include persons, habits, (thought) patterns, certain beliefs, and so on.
Today’s prompt is:
What do I need to leave behind as I transition into 2026?
Whether you’re slinging cards or are working with the Records, you might want to ask how to leave these things behind as well, or how to best go about this. If you’re slinging cards, it’s up to you whether or not you shuffle your remaining cards again before drawing your next card.
Day 3
What do I need to take with me into the new year?
Today, we’re asking our cards or Record Keepers what it is we should be taking with is into 2026.
Today’s prompt is:
What do I need to take with me into the new year?
